Ung Vänster fördömer beslutet att stänga ned Ernais hemsida

29 april, 2013

The Young Left of Sweden condemns the decision to close down the website of ERNAI

This Saturday a Spanish court decided to close down the website of the Basque organization ERNAI. ERNAI is a newly formed socialist and feminist youth-organization, that works for an independent Basque Country.

The Young Left of Sweden condemn the decision to close down the website of ERNAI. We are deeply worried about the political development in the Basque country. The right to organize is a basic principle in a democracy and ought to be inviolable. The Young Left of Sweden express their solidarity with ERNAI, says Kristin Olofsson, the chairman of the International Committee of the Young Left of Sweden.

Although Ernai is a newly formed organization, the Young Left of Sweden has a well-developed cooperation with them. During Easter representatives from the Young Left of Sweden took part in a youth-festival that Ernai arranged.
